Rocky, the Dromedary

Country: Australia by Lisette

I am not embarrassed to admit I wanted to ride a camel. It was actually great fun. Rocky was huge, smelled and I was slightly afraid of his big, chewy teeth. Upon command he lowered his front legs and I hopped on (ungraciously). As we’re waiting for everyone to climb onto his or her dromedary, the camel behind me is inspecting my left leg up a bit too close for my liking. I keep seeing Rocky’s chewy teeth in front of me like a neatly arranged slide show.

Quickly I find out it is important to learn the flow of your camel’s rocking, bumping and shaking in order to sit comfortably. The ride is short and my back is happy!
